Business Development Specialist

Walker Elliott is seeking a skilled Business Development Specialist to drive new customer engagement and maintain superior service levels for existing clients. The ideal candidate will possess a robust ambition for generating demand and achieving brand success.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the conversion of leads provided by marketing into completed sales.
  • Develop leads through existing customer networks and other networking opportunities.
  • Participate in regular sales meetings to review active leads.
  • Represent the company at tradeshows, conferences, and industry events.
  • Actively pursue leads from accounts without an assigned salesperson.
  • Continuously expand technical and product knowledge base.

Requirements:

  • Proficient knowledge of SCADA Systems and IIoT.
  • Ability to negotiate strategic deals and solve complex problems.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales or business development within industrial automation, SCADA communication, system integration, or related industries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proven work ethic and a collaborative mindset for team success.
  • Willingness to embrace new sales methodologies and innovative ideas.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 70%, including potential international travel.

This position reports to the VP of Sales and Senior Management and is accountable for achieving or exceeding sales objectives.
