- Critical Thinking and Assessment: Utilize critical thinking skills to assess patients and identify critical changes in their condition, responding promptly and appropriately.
- Time Management and Prioritization: Effectively manage time and prioritize patient needs to ensure efficient care delivery.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, interacting with patients, families, colleagues, and management in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Patient Care and Documentation: Provide patient care with a caring attitude, documenting all care delivered in a clear and concise manner.
- Medication Management: Obtain and clarify valid physician orders for all care delivered.
- Admission and Paperwork: Complete admission paperwork in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to standards of nursing set forth by the American Nurses Association and demonstrate an understanding of the hospice philosophy of care, policies, and practices.
- Orientation and Training: Assist in the orientation of new staff members, acting as a mentor when requested.
- Additional Responsibilities: Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Education: Current RN license in Massachusetts and other related credentials to meet specialty.
- Experience: One (1) year of nursing experience required or six (6) months of nursing experience with a BSN.
- Preferred Qualifications: Hospice Home Care experience, IV Certification, Computer skills, and BSN.
