Physical Requirements:

A PhD in biological sciences, biomedical informatics, bioinformatics, or a related discipline is essential. Familiarity with whole-genome sequencing data is advantageous.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday; 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, with occasional evening or weekend commitments.

Job Overview:

This role focuses on developing and utilizing analytical tools for genomic and transcriptomic data within extensive datasets. Key areas of application include Alzheimer's Disease, dementia, aging, and oncology. Responsibilities encompass:

  • Conducting genomic and transcriptomic analyses.
  • Programming and managing project-specific GitHub repositories.
  • Leading authorship of research publications and collaborating with students as a co-author.
Required Skills and Knowledge:

A solid background in programming languages such as Python and R for large-scale data analysis is crucial. Familiarity with standard genomics tools is preferred. Previous experience in scientific writing is also beneficial, along with expertise in genomic and transcriptomic analysis.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not entail supervisory duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

A PhD in biological sciences, biomedical informatics, bioinformatics, or a related field is required. Experience with whole-genome sequencing data is a plus.
