About the Role:

The Executive Sous Chef will be responsible for leading the culinary team and overseeing all food-related functions. This includes managing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring high-quality products are produced. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the culinary team and oversee all food-related functions
  • Supervise staff and ensure high-quality products are produced
  • Manage kitchen operations, including menu development and inventory control
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Develop and implement guidelines and control procedures for purchasing and receiving areas
  • Participate in the budgeting process and manage department controllable expenses
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Train and develop staff, including direct reports

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 6 years of experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 4 years of experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
