About the Role

Evolent Health is seeking a highly skilled Director to join our Client Finance Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving analysis and support for complex financial decisions related to our fastest growing segment of clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and summarize health plan client financial performance, focusing on the impact of key decisions.
  • Develop and present complex analyses to internal and external executive stakeholders.
  • Support contract negotiation process with clients through thought leadership, strategic analyses, and presentation materials.
  • Participate in the execution of complex deal structures for potential new and existing clients.
  • Align financial performance with health plan clients.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and FP&A on internal alignment around client financial impacts.
  • Perform ad hoc client-specific analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop standardized processes, templates, and collateral for key client-facing financial activities.
  • Contribute to the establishment of best practices and gold standard in contracting.
  • Manage analyst(s) to expand productivity and foster professional growth.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or other quantitative field.
  • At least 4-6 years of experience working in a Finance or medical economics-related field.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with extensive knowledge of key formulas and functions.
  • Exceptionally strong analytical abilities, with a track record of identifying insights from financial information and translating into business analytics and recommendations.
  • Self-motivated with curiosity to design new methods and processes.
  • Able to work independently to meet deadlines within time constraints.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with people across all areas of the organization in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and demonstrate initiative to identify and resolve problems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience at a payer or management consulting firm.
  • Experience supporting executive-level presentations for strategic decision-making.
  • Experience with project and stakeholder management.
  • Basic knowledge of GAAP.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Health System and financial elements.
  • Quick learner with good follow-through.
  • Basic knowledge of risk/capitation contracting.
Technical Requirements

We require that all employees have high-speed internet over 10 Mbps and the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.
