Position Overview:

We are seeking a Traveling Commercial Painter to uphold operational excellence as we expand our services nationwide. This role involves applying paint and coatings to a variety of commercial surfaces in diverse environments such as offices, warehouses, and construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess fundamental painting skills and the capacity to follow directives from supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

Painting Duties:

  • Utilize brushes, rollers, or sprayers to apply paint and coatings to surfaces.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting through cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed.
  • Adhere to color schemes and coating specifications as outlined by project managers or clients.

Surface Preparation:

  • Ensure surfaces are clean and ready for painting to promote adhesion and achieve a smooth finish.
  • Repair holes and cracks using suitable fillers or sealants.
  • Mask and safeguard surrounding areas to prevent paint splatter or overspray.

Safety Compliance:

  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to avert accidents and injuries.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during painting tasks.
  • Promptly report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors.

Equipment Management:

  • Safely and effectively operate painting tools such as brushes, rollers, sprayers, and sanders.
  • Maintain and clean painting equipment after use.
  • Inform supervisors of any equipment issues or maintenance requirements.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work cooperatively with fellow painters, contractors, and team members to complete projects efficiently and according to specifications.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and communicate any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Engage in team meetings and training sessions as necessary.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience in commercial painting is essential, along with basic knowledge of painting techniques and surface preparation.
  • OSHA-10 certification is required.
  • Aerial boom lift certification is preferred.
  • Moderate proficiency with email, Google Sheets, and MS Office Suite is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
