Position Overview:

We are seeking a Traveling Commercial Painter to uphold operational excellence as we expand our services nationwide. This role is pivotal in applying coatings to a variety of commercial surfaces across diverse environments, including offices, warehouses, and construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess foundational painting skills and the capacity to follow directives from supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

Painting Duties:

  • Utilize brushes, rollers, or sprayers to apply paint and coatings to designated surfaces.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by performing necessary cleaning, sanding, and priming.
  • Adhere to color schemes and coating specifications as outlined by project managers or clients.

Surface Preparation:

  • Ensure surfaces are clean and ready for painting to promote adhesion and achieve a flawless finish.
  • Repair holes and cracks using suitable fillers or sealants.
  • Protect surrounding areas from paint splatter or overspray through effective masking.

Safety Compliance:

  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during painting tasks.
  • Promptly report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors.

Equipment Management:

  • Safely and effectively operate painting tools such as brushes, rollers, sprayers, and sanders.
  • Maintain and clean painting equipment after each use.
  • Inform supervisors of any equipment issues or maintenance requirements.

Collaboration:

  • Work in tandem with fellow painters, contractors, and team members to ensure timely project completion.
  • Follow supervisor instructions and communicate any challenges or concerns as they arise.
  • Engage in team meetings and training sessions as necessary.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience in commercial painting with a basic understanding of painting techniques and surface preparation.
  • OSHA-10 certification is required.
  • Aerial boom lift certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with email, Google Sheets, and MS Office Suite is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
