**Job Title:** Medical Coding Specialist

 

We are seeking a skilled Medical Coding Specialist to join our team at USOP, LLC in Alpharetta, GA. As a key member of our healthcare coding team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of medical records.

 

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Possess and maintain a strong coding knowledge base without the need for upfront training.
  • Review medical documentation from providers and assign appropriate codes according to regulatory practice and payer guidelines.
  • Maintain coding rules, notes, or documentation effectively to perform quality, timely coding.
  • Work efficiently and independently, with the ability to work remotely as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Certification from American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
  • At least two years of medical coding experience in a medical practice related to the described duties.
  • Strong understanding of orthopedic medical terminology and ICD10 specificity guidelines.
