Schedule: 1st Shift - 6:00am - 2:30pm - Monday - Friday + OT

Wage: $19.00+ $1.50 shift differential per hour

Position Overview: The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of power equipment to load and unload products. This role involves moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting products with precision.

Position Competencies:

  1. Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift certification.
  2. Proficiency in using handheld RF scanning devices.
  3. Capability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  4. Ability to maneuver in various physical positions, including twisting and reaching.
  5. Willingness to work in non-climate-controlled environments.

Performance Expectations:

Productivity:

  • Meeting established productivity benchmarks.
  • Understanding the stocking strategy of assigned operations.
  • Adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and customer-specific instructions.

Safety:

  • Following Dock Safety policies and conducting lift inspections prior to operation.
  • Reporting equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Complying with safety and security protocols.
  • Possessing knowledge of Food Safety practices or willingness to undergo training.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensuring shipments are free from errors and damages.
  • Accurately scanning products and matching them with relevant documentation.
  • Completing all paperwork accurately and reporting any discrepancies.

Initiative:

  • Demonstrating knowledge of multiple accounts and job functions within the operation.

These expectations serve as a guideline and may be adjusted at the discretion of Allen Distribution.

Compensation Details: $19.00 - $19.00 Hourly Wage
