Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for examinations by gathering necessary medical information and conducting initial assessments (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature).
  • Document patient visit reasons and relevant clinical data in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
  • Perform and assist with diagnostic tests, including hearing and vision screenings, spirometry, and EKGs.
  • Administer vaccines and medications as prescribed by the physician.
  • Assist with special procedures and collect lab specimens as needed.
  • Obtain and review external lab results, ensuring they are appropriately documented.
  • Provide patient education on treatments, medications, and preventive care.
  • Maintain a well-organized and fully stocked medical supply inventory.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform additional tasks and duties as directed by the physician.
Qualifications:
  • Current and valid New York State LPN License.
  • A minimum of one year of professional nursing experience.
  • CPR/AED certification.
  • Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Supervisory experience is a plus but not required.
