Position Overview

This role necessitates a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction staking, including expertise with buildings, structures, robotics, and GPS technology. California field experience is essential, as this position will provide substantial support with office CAD & Civil3D while also engaging in fieldwork as required, reporting directly to the VP of Engineering. A PLS license in California is mandatory. Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the surveying and mapping field
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D
  • Recent experience in construction staking and boundary/topographic surveys
  • Familiarity with Carlson Software and Leica Systems
  • Proficient in Trimble surveying equipment and software, particularly one-man robotic data collection
  • Strong mathematical skills, team-oriented attitude, and a desire to mentor others
  • California field experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years of journey-level experience with responsible charge on a survey project involving the use, adjustment, and maintenance of surveying instruments; both in the field and in office processing
  • Proficiency in various computer programs, including MS Office Suite, CADD (Civil3D, Carlson, MicroSurvey, or other drafting software), and processing/adjustment software (Trimble Business Center, StarNet, etc.)
  • Three or more years of experience with Digital Terrain Models (DTM), GPS collection and processing, least squares adjustment, topographic surveys, and boundary surveys

Required Licenses:

  • Professional Land Surveyor License from the State of California
  • Valid California Driver's License

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $95,000 - $140,000 per year
