The Facilities Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in executing a variety of routine and preventative maintenance duties. This includes ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities, managing waste disposal, and assisting with event setups and breakdowns. Your efforts will be vital in preserving the beauty of our community and ensuring a safe environment for all residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct maintenance tasks across various skill levels, including:
  • Performing lighting checks, cleaning light fixtures, and replacing bulbs and ballasts
  • Maintaining and repairing doors and locks
  • Executing caulking, preparation work, and painting
  • Carrying out minor carpentry, construction, electrical, appliance, and furniture repairs
  • Handling plumbing maintenance, including faucet and fixture repairs or replacements
  • Maintaining access gates, storage areas, doors, and locks
  • Cleaning common areas, including around the pool and dumpster

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a related maintenance role, with skills in electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance preferred
  • Familiarity with general maintenance tasks and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Self-motivated, observant, and detail-oriented, with the ability to identify and address maintenance needs throughout the property
  • Effective communication skills with managers, residents, and peers, both verbally and in writing; ability to follow instructions and schedules; maintain logs and documentation; and demonstrate dependability, problem-solving skills, and professionalism
  • A friendly demeanor and strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Important Considerations:

Candidates must be prepared to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods, perform physical labor, lift up to 75 pounds, and work from ladders or lifts. Support for the Lifestyle Director may be required after regular business hours, and occasional on-call duties are expected. A valid driver's license and personal vehicle are necessary. Candidates will also need to pass a background check, physical examination, and drug screening.
