Pediatric Pulmonary Function Specialist Opportunity
Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Pediatric Pulmonary Function Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Pediatric Pulmonary Function Testing team, you will work alongside dedicated caregivers to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform pulmonary function testing according to the latest ATS/ERS standards.
- Analyze quality control data and perform advanced invasive or noninvasive protocols.
- Share educational in-services with staff, advanced practice nurses, and physician assistants.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Registered Pulmonary Function Technician (RPFT) credentialing from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Minimum of 1 year direct patient care experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of pediatric patient care experience.
- Previous pulmonary function testing experience.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through AHA.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS) certification.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to administer six minute walk tests at a pace of at least 3.0 mph, ability to move K cylinders onto dollies, ability to change gas cylinder regulators with a wrench and ability to lift boxes up to 25 pounds in weight.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
