Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients requiring monitoring of heart rates, breathing rates, blood pressure, and oxygen levels.
- Monitor patients at bedside or remotely from a central location, utilizing advanced life support skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Apply dysrhythmia monitoring techniques for interpretation and treatment, ensuring accurate and timely interventions.
- Calculate medication dosages and monitor medication effects, maintaining a safe and effective treatment plan.
- Administer continuous medication infusion for non-titrated vasoactive agents, anti-arrhythmic agents, platelet inhibitors, and/or insulin, as prescribed.
- Perform patient monitoring using standardized procedures for pre-, intra-, and post-procedures, ensuring seamless care transitions.
- Recognize and stabilize symptoms and signs of cardiopulmonary emergencies, providing timely interventions to prevent complications.
- Set up and troubleshoot hemodynamic monitoring equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable data.
- Monitor and recognize signs of patient instability, taking prompt action to prevent adverse events.
- Interpret ABGs and communicate findings to the healthcare team, ensuring informed decision-making.
- Assess ventilated patients to ensure correct treatment, adjusting care plans as needed.
- Manage patients requiring non-invasive oxygen delivery systems, ensuring optimal oxygenation and ventilation.
- Understand and manage long-term mechanical ventilation and weaning processes, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and manage patients undergoing renal therapeutic interventions, ensuring safe and effective care.
- Recognize and manage indications and complications of enteral and parenteral nutrition, providing timely interventions to prevent adverse events.
- Evaluate family involvement in care to support transition from hospital to home, ensuring a smooth and seamless discharge process.
