Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ammonia Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Rich Products Corporation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the effective operation, maintenance, and repair of our industrial ammonia refrigeration systems and associated freezers, air conditioning, and chilled water systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain industrial ammonia refrigeration systems, including vacuum systems, screw compressors, blast freezers, storage freezers, condensers, and chilled water cooling systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, mechanical and electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and other tasks to ensure equipment is in optimal operating condition.
  • Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues and take corrective action to prevent downtime.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and other technical documents to ensure proper operation and repair of equipment.
  • Order parts and supplies as needed to maintain or rebuild equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company policies.
  • Apply safe work practices and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining industrial ammonia refrigeration systems, including vacuum systems, screw compressors, blast freezers, storage freezers, condensers, and chilled water cooling systems.
  • Basic business requirements, such as attendance, punctuality, good work habits, and good personal hygiene.
  • Specific technical training in the theory of ammonia refrigeration and nitrogen freezing systems, as well as mechanical and electrical maintenance of industrial-sized refrigeration systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical, pipe fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
