The houseman is responsible for the upkeep of the hotel's common areas, ensuring cleanliness and a welcoming atmosphere. This includes maintaining the front entrance, lobby, public restrooms, breakfast area, elevators, pool, guest hallways, fitness center, employee break room, and meeting rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent, friendly, and attentive service to guests, anticipating their needs and addressing inquiries related to their stay.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and ensure satisfaction by resolving any complaints.
  • Complete all necessary training as directed by management, including health and safety protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all common areas according to hotel standards, including glass doors, floors, and furniture.
  • Familiarize yourself with the hotel’s lost and found policy, ensuring any found items are reported to management immediately.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to enhance guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in hospitality or janitorial services is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow directions effectively.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules as needed.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Dependable and committed to maintaining grooming and appearance standards.
