Position Overview:

We are in search of a highly skilled, dedicated, and motivated Traveling Superintendent to become a vital part of our dynamic team. The ideal candidate must possess experience in constructing storage facilities or ground-up multi-story commercial projects. In this role, you will oversee all phases of commercial construction projects from initiation to completion. A background in self-storage and experience in building both single and multi-story storage units is essential. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy traveling and have a strong interest in multi-story commercial construction, particularly in the self-storage sector. You will manage various commercial projects across multiple locations, ensuring that the highest standards of quality and safety are upheld at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all facets of the construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction personnel and subcontractors throughout different project phases.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to track progress and ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement project timelines, manage daily operations, and coordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project.
  • Address on-site issues and emergencies promptly, making necessary adjustments to maintain project continuity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists to achieve project objectives.
  • Prepare and submit regular project updates, keeping management informed about project status and any emerging issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards, promoting a safe working environment for all personnel.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent with a self-storage background.
  • Proficient in ground-up, commercial, multi-story construction projects.
  • Extensive experience in traveling roles, demonstrating the ability to manage projects in various locations.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, capable of overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a range of stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Willingness to travel extensively as required by project demands.
  • A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
