Position Overview:

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the installation and repair of both electrical and mechanical systems and components.
  • Coordinating and assigning daily maintenance tasks to ensure timely completion.
  • Managing external contractors for equipment installation projects.
  • Providing expert guidance in diagnosing and resolving machinery issues.
  • Championing Lean Manufacturing practices.
  • Overseeing HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, air compressors, pumps, and electrical systems.
  • Identifying and replacing defective machine components.
  • Assessing and enhancing equipment and operational processes.
  • Maintaining inventories of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
  • Negotiating with suppliers to secure optimal pricing.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Proven technical supervisory experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience with electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in troubleshooting mechanical systems with electronic controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 40 lbs.), pulling, pushing, and bending during shifts.
  • Capability to perform visual inspections.
  • Availability for on-call duties for the facility around the clock.
