Position Overview:
As the Senior Manager of Maintenance Reliability at Southwire, you will lead the maintenance operations at a key facility, managing a significant team of Maintenance Technicians, Engineers, Electronics Technicians, and Supervisors. This critical role focuses on ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production equipment, reducing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide a large team of Maintenance Technicians, Engineers, Electronics Technicians, and Supervisors, promoting a culture of safety, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Enhance reliability and maintenance practices through the implementation of strategic roadmaps, including preventive and predictive maintenance, planning and scheduling, and effective problem-solving techniques.
  • Evaluate key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement in cost efficiency, productivity, and equipment availability.
  • Adopt a reliability-centered approach to achieve top-tier performance within the maintenance organization by eliminating failures and minimizing consequences.
  • Collaborate with maintenance stakeholders to ensure budget compliance while facilitating informed decision-making through expenditure forecasts and cost-effective solutions.
  • Work in conjunction with production, engineering, and quality teams to drive process enhancements and upgrades.
  • Participate in early equipment management activities to ensure successful modernization efforts and adherence to commissioning standards.
  • Uphold compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, fostering a safety-first culture within the maintenance team.
  • Develop annual training plans for technicians to enhance individual and team capabilities, ensuring quality service and reducing reliance on external resources.
  • Establish training plans for direct reports (supervisors, engineers, and planners) and ensure adherence to these plans.
  • Lead and manage large-scale maintenance projects from initial planning through execution and evaluation.
  • Exemplify and promote Southwire's culture, values, mission, and objectives, serving as a role model for the company's principles in all leadership aspects.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, along with proven experience in executing maintenance strategies, optimizing processes, and managing maintenance budgets.

Desired Skills:

  • In-depth technical knowledge of maintenance practices, including corrective, preventive, predictive, and precision maintenance.
  • Experience in the wire and cable manufacturing sector is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of making data-driven decisions.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems and software, preferably SAP PM.
