Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director, Financial Operations, Dining to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all financial operations within Auxiliary Services, ensuring quality in financial, operational, and managerial reporting. They will coordinate, process, and maintain business transactions and financial affairs for assigned departments, advising operational directors on business transactions and availability of funding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, review, and distribute monthly financial reports and queries to management and staff.
  • Review business, operational, and financial performance, monitoring general ledger accounts and Campus Service accounts on a weekly basis.
  • Track expenses and revenues versus budget, ensuring adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) guidelines.
  • Develop five-year financial plans, department budget submissions, and mandatory fee requests for multiple business units.
  • Develop Public Private Venture (PPV) reporting and analysis, perform statistical research, and analyze business performance to identify gaps.
  • Review, approve, and remit monthly staff journal entries.
  • Review and approve purchase orders, payment requests, voucher adjustments, and budget amendments.
  • Review and approve monthly account reconciliations and supervise assigned staff.
  • Use multiple business and subsidiary transaction systems to produce accounting information for reporting.
  • Lead and manage accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment to ensure high performance and professional development.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Accounting or a related business field.
  • At least six years of experience related to the position, including previous management and supervisory experience.
  • Current, valid, and active Certified Public Account (CPA) credentials.
  • An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field.
