Job Overview

Qualifications and Skills:

1. High School Diploma is required, along with at least one year of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable.

2. Comprehensive understanding of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding standards, as well as medical terminology.

3. Basic knowledge of commercial insurance and Medicaid policies.

4. Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.

6. Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations.

7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel, as well as Google Workspace and database management.

8. Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems is preferred; knowledge of Clincsource is a plus.

9. Alignment with the mission and values of Bridgeway Academy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Understand and track authorization requirements for various insurance providers, ensuring timely communication with clients regarding visit authorizations.

2. Accurately post insurance payments and reconcile client accounts upon receipt.

3. Investigate and address claim denials, making necessary corrections and following up until payment is received.

4. Input new client information into the EHR system and verify eligibility.

5. Conduct monthly checks on insurance eligibility.

6. Maintain a record of claims pending for over 45 days and follow up with insurance companies for resolution.

7. Provide exceptional customer service for routine inquiries related to authorizations and denied claims.

8. Assist with general office duties, including client interactions.

9. Perform additional tasks as assigned.
