Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Social Reintegration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our rehabilitation services team, you will play a critical role in assisting inmates with reintegration into the community and accessing available resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as liaison between the facility, inmates, their families, and the community to facilitate successful reintegration.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for inmates, providing feedback, consultation, and recommendations regarding an inmate's progress and discharge plans.
  • Facilitate psycho-educational groups for sex offender program participants, promoting positive behavior change and community reintegration.
  • Collaborate with community mental health centers, halfway houses, community corrections, and private healthcare facilities to ensure seamless discharge planning and support services.
  • Provide educational services to inmates, both individually and in group meetings, regarding support services in the community.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in psychology, social work, criminal justice, or a related field, with two years of practical experience, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of direct service experience in a correctional or mental health setting.
  • A high level of familiarity with community resources at the local, state, and federal levels.
  • Ability to work with computers and necessary software typically used by the department.
