Job Description

At GEO Corrections & Detentions, we are seeking a highly skilled Reintegration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in assisting inmates with their transition back into the community.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a liaison between the facility, inmates, their families, and the community to ensure a smooth reintegration process.
  • Facilitate educational groups for sex offender program participants to promote awareness and understanding of community resources.
  • Collaborate with community mental health centers, halfway houses, and other organizations to provide inmates with access to necessary support services.
  • Provide individualized support to inmates, including linkages to service providers and assistance with discharge planning.
  • Participate in the development of individualized treatment plans for inmates, providing feedback and recommendations for their progress and discharge plans.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, criminal justice, or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of direct service experience in a correctional or mental health setting.
  • High level of familiarity with community resources at the local, state, and federal levels.
  • Ability to work with computers and necessary software.
