RESPONSIBILITIES

Applies extensive and diverse knowledge of principles and practices across a wide range of assignments and related fields. Utilizes advanced techniques in modifying or extending theories and practices to fulfill assignments. Engages in major projects or several projects of moderate scope with complex features. Reviews project documentation for conformity and quality assurance. Develops new techniques and/or improved processes, materials, or products. Acts as a technical specialist or advisor to management and staff. Oversees junior engineers in completing their assignments. Receives supervision and guidance regarding overall objectives and critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.
  • Install, upgrade, and configure SCADA and Production Optimization Systems.
  • Create screens, workflows, and reports to support customer operations and SCADA hardware.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand and troubleshoot product issues.
  • Provide custom solutions, utilities, and system integration using scripts along with procedural documentation and relevant reports.
  • Utilize data migration tools and data validation processes for historical data migration.
  • Participate in software testing during the release cycle as an end customer.
  • Identify the cause of reported problems by debugging programs/scripts and, if necessary, correct them or report them to developers.
  • Offer support to internal and external clients engaged in consulting projects utilizing the company's optimization software.
  • Acquire a solid understanding of Production Optimization Products and their functionality from the user's perspective.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to SCADA hardware and radio communications.
  • Train users in system usage and administration.
  • Travel: Up to 25% of the time.
  • Assist field support/clients with upgrading and configuring the software.
  • Provide custom solutions through scripts.
  • Guide junior members of the deployment team in resolving issues they may encounter.
  • Provide team leadership when multiple deployment team members are involved.
  • Employ the deployment process and framework designed for each application implementation.
  • Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Education:
  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry
Essential Qualifications:
  • Work experience with SCADA software and hardware.
  • Experience in deploying and debugging software in MS Windows OS.
  • Familiarity with protocols such as MODBUS, OPC, and MQTT.
  • Experience in application integration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage crisis situations calmly.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills for daily and weekly tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient programming knowledge in C#, PowerShell, SQL, or Python.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web applications.
  • Experience with ETL techniques and tools.
  • Background in Oil and Gas Industry - Production Optimization, Artificial Lift.
  • Experience with RTUs, PLCs, communication configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence.
  • Familiarity with CygNet.
