Job Summary

Bart & Associates is seeking a skilled Database Developer to support our federal government client in an important mission. As a Database Developer, you will have the opportunity to work with a great team while contributing to the success of the United States Customs and Border Protection.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement database solutions to support various applications and business processes.
• Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain database schemas, tables, views, and indexes.
• Collaborate with software developers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective database solutions.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues, identifying and implementing solutions to improve efficiency.
• Perform database maintenance tasks, such as backups, indexing, and updates.
• Document database designs, configurations, and procedures for reference and training purposes.
• Stay current with the latest database technologies and best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree plus at least 3+ years of experience.

Preferred Skills

• Strong experience creating complex SQL in complex data environments.
• Strong experience troubleshooting and tuning SQL.
• Team-focused approach.
