Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at The Contractor Consultants. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for performing takeoffs, working with AutoCAD, and interpreting blueprints to provide accurate material and labor estimates.

Responsibilities:
  • Estimation and Takeoffs: Perform accurate takeoffs from blueprints and construction documents to provide precise material and labor estimates.
  • AutoCAD and Estimation Software: Utilize AutoCAD and other estimation software to assist in the preparation of estimates.
  • Project Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
  • IT Support: Maintain and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and networks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to staff as needed.
  • Data Security: Ensure the security and integrity of computer systems and data.
  • Training and Development: Train and support staff on the use of computer systems and software.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience as an Estimator or similar role.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, blueprints, and construction documents. Proficiency in performing takeoffs and providing accurate material and labor estimates.
  • Education: Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
