Electrical Maintenance Specialist

Boise Cascade is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our maintenance team. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems. This includes troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment, installing new electrical systems, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on electrical equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, including motors, controls, and electrical panels.
- Install new electrical systems, including wiring and electrical panels.
- Perform safety inspections and ensure compliance with company safety policies.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid Oregon (or reciprocal state) Manufacturing Plant Journeyman license or higher, or the ability to obtain a license prior to date of hire.
- Must have an excellent work and safety record.
- Must be able to work at heights, and in hot/dusty environments.
- Must be able to comprehend and enter detailed work orders into our computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Must have experience in Field Prep, including shop math, basic measuring tools, print reading, and conduit bending.
- Must have experience using electrical testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, meters, and meggers.
- Must have experience identifying and controlling failed components, such as switches, relays, frequency drives, and motor starters.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge in Allen Bradley PLC controls.
- PLC programming skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with plywood and/or veneer plant machinery and equipment.
