DAS Installation Specialist

TekCom Resources is seeking a highly skilled DAS Installation Specialist to lead installation crews for large-scale distributed antenna systems (DAS) projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing, training, and mentoring a crew of 3-5 people while on site. This is a hands-on role that will work closely with the Project Manager and Installation technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install DAS wireless equipment, including outdoor and indoor antennas, coaxial cable, CATV cable, fiber optic cable, CAT 5 cable, DC power cable, and other components to NEC standards
  • Fusion splicing and fiber OTDR testing
  • Install, terminate, and test coaxial cable of various sizes and types
  • Installation of DAS headend, including DC power plant, alarms, CPS, and other components
  • Installation of cabinets, ladder, fiber trough, and infrastructure

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of DAS installation experience
  • 3+ years of cable installation experience in IT, cable, electrical, RF, and/or telecommunications fields
  • High level of understanding and experience performing fusion splicing, fiber terminations, fiber dressing, fiber cleaning, and OTDR testing
  • Expert at completing Sweep, PIM, and Fiber testing
  • Anritsu, Corning, and EXFO certifications a plus
