Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Department Administrator to provide administrative management for the Departments of Anesthesiology and Radiology. The successful candidate will be responsible for fiscal management, daily operations, human resources, and performance for both academic, research, and clinical departments in the Larner College of Medicine, UVMMC, and the UVM Health Network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall administrative management for the Departments of Anesthesiology and Radiology
  • Manage fiscal management, daily operations, human resources, and performance for both academic, research, and clinical departments
  • Exercise discretion of sensitive/confidential information
  • Supervise and lead administrative staff
  • Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or related field
  • 2-4 years financial experience required
  • Ability to analyze and forecast based on available data
  • Proficient with spreadsheet and database applications
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft programs, including Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in financial administration in higher education and in human resources
  • Knowledge of Peoplesoft
