As a Radiology Department Supervisor at the University of Vermont Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of the Ultrasound Department. Your responsibilities will include staffing, quality control, and quality assurance for sonographers, radiologists, physicists, equipment, and patient records. You will also perform clinical procedures and oversee the clinical instruction performed by ultrasound educators for students and sonographers.

The ideal candidate will have five years of progressive experience in sonography, with supervisory experience preferred. You will be responsible for assisting the Radiology Manager with budgetary responsibilities, long-range planning, and the operational budget for the Ultrasound Department. As part of the management team, you will assist the manager in fulfilling departmental goals.

This is a 24/7 service, and you will be required to work flexible hours/schedule opportunities in accordance with departmental needs. You will also be available by phone to support staff and the Department during off-hours as needed.

Requirements include a graduate degree from an accredited Radiography program, current certification in appropriate Radiology specialty (Sonography - ARDMS), and a Bachelor's degree preferred.
