Equiliem is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team in providing exceptional care to our patients in a correctional setting. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for patients with a variety of health care needs.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and security officers to provide comprehensive care in a correctional environment.
- Function as a team leader, guiding and supporting colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to meet the physiological, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients, including adults and geriatrics.
- Utilize effective communication skills to promote a safe and respectful environment for patients and staff.
- Maintain current professional skills and continue professional growth to enhance the practice of correctional nursing and the image of Equiliem.
- Adhere to personnel policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the healthcare unit.
- Assume responsibility for maintaining required annual licensure and credentialing requirements for nursing personnel.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- LPN License to practice in the State of New Jersey.
- CPR Certification required.
- Valid Driver's License required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Physically able to perform CPR for at least 10 minutes.
- Physically able to lift and carry an emergency treatment bag weighing up to 45 pounds and assist in lifting and rotating patients who are unable to ambulate (up to 50 pounds).
