Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Store Layout and Merchandising: Create and implement creative store layouts and product merchandising strategies to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Assist Team Leader in Sales and Labor Targets: Work closely with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, and provide support in analyzing sales reports and labor data.
  • Assist with Ordering and Inventory Management: Assist the Team Leader in ordering and inventory management, ensuring accurate and timely inventory levels and minimizing waste.
  • Lead and Develop Team Members: Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members to sustain a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
  • Communicate and Maintain Team Member Safety and Security Standards: Ensure that Team Members are aware of and adhere to safety and security protocols, and provide timely and thorough performance evaluations.
  • Model WFM Vision and Goals: Consistently communicate and model Whole Foods Market's vision and goals, and foster a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.

  • Decision-Making and Leadership Ability: Demonstrate decision-making ability, leadership skills, and ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
Experience and Education
  • 18+ Months Retail Team Member Experience and 6+ Months Supervisory Experience: Possess a minimum of 18 months of retail Team Member experience and 6 months of supervisory experience.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Lifting and Standing: Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday.
  • Hand Use and Work Environment: Must be able to use hands for single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling, and work in a wet and cold environment.
