The Role

This is an outstanding career opportunity to provide operational support to our Growth Partner and Responsible Partner team and to work with our companies to scale up, develop their long-term value strategy, financing and business development.

This role is critical to supporting portfolio company growth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support Responsible Partners, and more specifically Growth Partners, in developing elements of the GrowthCos' Value Roadmaps, including the platform, pipeline, partnership, financing and organizational strategies - with all relevant scenarios and quantification necessary to develop value creation/recognition/realizations paths.
  2. Support Responsible Partners, and more specifically Growth Partners, in the management of GrowthCos so that they deliver on their value ambitions.
  3. Ensure effective networking within Flagship ecosystem to leverage existing resources, incl Growth Function Leads (HR, Finance, Legal/IP, BD, Communication, Digital), Analytics team, Value Team, Finance, Cap Formation, BD, Pioneering Medicines and International teams, to support GrowthCos' development and value goal achievements.
  4. Support Responsible Partners, and more specifically Growth Partners, in the management of GrowthCos' accountabilities towards Flagship. That could entail supporting the development of communication materials, action plans, task forces...
  5. Develop Growth portfolio insights, based on advanced analytics, to GrowthCos and internal/external partners in order to optimize resource allocation, target setting and more generally the development of better Value Roadmaps.
Requirements

5-10+ years' experience operating in fast moving, innovative, performance driven organization in healthcare, delivering on ambitious goals mobilizing teams through guidance and influence and interfacing closely with individuals in critical operational functions (BD/Strategy, Finance, HR/Talent, Legal, etc.)

Either a background in the tech industry or fast paced life science realm.

BA and optionally a MS/MA, MD, PhD, or equivalent time spent deep in technical/scientific topics (e.g, Engineering or Biology)

10+ years of entrepreneurial executive operational experience required within biotech or related industries, demonstrating your deep operational expertise, desire for speed and agility, and your ability to thrive in a fast-changing entrepreneurial, technical environment

Experience in biotech financing process and methods or MBA or experience working in operations, strategy or business development

Cross-functional management experience (i.e., business/corporate planning, resource planning, forecasting)

Energy to build a positive and success-oriented team culture; lead by example to ensure collaboration, teamwork, open communication, constructive conflict resolution and organizational flexibility

Exceptional clarity and communication and influencing skills, with an aptitude to inspire confidence in different audiences - including investors, academic partners, management teams, and company boards - driving the success and growth of our portfolio companies

Preferred Qualifications

High-level financial literacy with the ability to generate and share insight on future financing plans relating to the evaluation of creative financing strategies, driving the growth and success of our portfolio companies
