Position OverviewRole Summary:

The Lead IT Collaboration Solutions Engineer is a pivotal role that demands a high level of technical expertise. This position is responsible for the administration and management of a diverse range of services, including on-premise and cloud-based directory services, messaging platforms, and collaboration tools. The role encompasses overseeing identity and access management solutions, email security, DNS management, and enterprise printing services, with a strong focus on cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Integration: Integrates essential technologies, including identity management services and authentication protocols, into the existing infrastructure, ensuring reliability and scalability. This role evaluates the impact on interconnected systems, configures directory services, and enhances the overall functionality and security of these systems.
  • Technical Expertise: Offers advanced technical guidance in the optimization and enhancement of the specified technologies, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • System Oversight: Designs and implements proactive monitoring processes to ensure the efficient operation of systems, keeping them updated and secure. Conducts research and testing to assess the impact of updates and provides training to team members as necessary.
  • Incident Management: Provides expert-level support for incident resolution, accurately diagnosing issues and implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Availability Assurance: Assists in designing systems for high availability and participates in analyses to minimize downtime.
  • Continuity Planning: Engages in practices that ensure the continuity of IT services, implementing risk mitigation strategies as identified.
  • Collaboration Development: Works closely with staff across various levels to define requirements and support the development and implementation of collaboration systems.
  • Effective Communication: Delivers clear and concise communication to facilitate understanding and achievement of project objectives. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and promotes a collaborative work environment.
  • Standards Development: Proposes and implements technology standards and solutions in response to business needs, ensuring continuous improvement in user experience and system performance.
  • Team Collaboration: Fosters a collaborative team environment, contributing positively to project outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (7 years) required.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud services and architecture with a proven history of successful implementations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of directory services, messaging systems, and collaboration tools.
  • Experience with identity management solutions and security protocols.
  • Proficient in managing complex IT environments and systems.
  • Experience with automation and scripting.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare IT environment is advantageous.
  • Relevant certifications are preferred.
