Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, implement, and sustain cloud-based server solutions that prioritize scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Develop automation scripts to streamline server management processes.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, including software upgrades, data backups, and disaster recovery drills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in server engineering and administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud server platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Proficient in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
  • Expertise in Windows Server management; familiarity with Linux server environments is advantageous.
  • Understanding of networking and storage solutions.
  • Strong grasp of security best practices and experience in implementing protective measures.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • 6-8 years of experience in system, database, or network administration.
  • Preferred certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or related networking fields.
  • Advanced knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMWare and Azure.
  • Strong skills in scripting and automation.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing IT strategies.
  • ITIL V3/V4 Foundations certification is a plus.
  • High proficiency in Windows operating systems and networking principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in a standard office setting with typical environmental conditions.
  • Availability for a standard workweek with potential for weekend and holiday hours.
