Position Summary:
The Mechanical Engineering Associate will engage in routine engineering tasks under the guidance of an experienced mentor. This role encompasses mechanical system design, client interactions, equipment selection, construction oversight, and various mechanical engineering duties, all subject to final approval from the manager.

Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately perform load calculations and select appropriate equipment for designated projects.
- Attend construction meetings and provide technical observations and reports.
- Maintain professional interactions with the mechanical team, other disciplines, and clients as necessary.
- Effectively manage and balance multiple projects and deadlines.
- Seek mentorship and support to ensure successful project design and completion.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
- EIT certification is required or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
- Progressing towards P.E. licensure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team and listen attentively.
- Commitment to producing high-quality work and advancing professionally in the engineering sector.
- Proven integrity and ethical standards in professional interactions.
- Flexibility to work outside standard business hours as project demands necessitate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Problem Solving:
Engagement in unique and unpredictable challenges, requiring judgment in prioritizing tasks and evaluating outcomes while coordinating with team members.

Supervision:
Initial tasks will be performed under close supervision, with a gradual increase in independence as experience is gained.

Decision-Making:
Independent judgment is essential for analyzing issues and conducting needs assessments, with recommendations impacting departmental policies and practices.

Work Complexity:
Tasks are diverse and interconnected, necessitating the application of various procedures and policies.

Physical Requirements:
This role involves regular sitting, talking, hearing, and vision, with frequent walking and occasional lifting of objects over 20 lbs.
