Key Responsibilities
The Production Engineering Specialist will serve as a key advisor to the manufacturing, engineering, and procurement teams, leveraging expertise in manufacturing methods and materials to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and workforce engagement.

Process Optimization

  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of time, motion, methods, and plant layout to ensure optimal processes and capacity to meet client demands.
  • Define manufacturing processes, systems, equipment, and materials, considering cost, time, ergonomics, quality, and quantity.
  • Propose enhancements, prepare justifications for capital investments, and oversee the design and implementation of innovative manufacturing processes and systems.
  • Draft and disseminate updates on manufacturing procedures and train personnel on changes to products and processes.
  • Evaluate and justify the acquisition of new machinery and equipment.
  • Manage the selection and ordering of equipment, supervise installation, and provide training for employees on equipment usage.
  • Oversee requisitions and purchase orders, ensuring alignment with project needs.
  • Administer routings and Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM).
  • Identify and manage changes in project scope.
  • Guide new product development with a focus on manufacturability and assembly efficiency.
Problem-Solving Expertise
  • Generate, publish, and securely store comprehensive documentation for all tools.
  • Review engineering designs to estimate costs associated with tools and manufacturing.
  • Advise on design modifications to enhance manufacturing efficiency and process planning.
  • Assist engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing teams in resolving challenges related to product support.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with product knowledge is advantageous.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing is preferred, with certifications such as Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
