- Civil and landfill design, along with site layout;
- Conduct geotechnical engineering assessments, including slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, seismic analysis, and seepage evaluation;
- Perform geotechnical and environmental site assessments;
- Develop and oversee instrumentation monitoring systems;
- Manage small projects/tasks and assist in proposal preparation;
- Prepare engineering documentation, including reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications;
- Engage in fieldwork related to design and construction services.
Training Requirements:
This role necessitates OSHA health and safety training, first aid, CPR training, and medical monitoring, all covered by the firm.
We also provide professional development opportunities, including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentorship programs, to equip our professionals with the technical and business skills needed for successful consulting careers.
Fieldwork:
Up to 25%
Travel Requirements:
Up to 30%
Educational Background and Licensure:
- Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering (required);
- Advanced degree in civil or geotechnical engineering (preferred);
- Professional registration (e.g., P.E.) (preferred);
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years (7+ preferred) of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (required);
- Strong verbal and technical writing abilities (required);
- Familiarity with modeling/design software such as AutoCAD, HydroCAD, ArcMap, SLIDE, FLAC, PLAXIS (preferred);
- Fieldwork and travel may be necessary.
- Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers (preferred);
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-required drug and background testing may be necessary.
- Ability to travel to client sites (required);
- Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).
