Position Overview

The International Subsidiary Governance and Compliance Specialist will play a crucial role in executing and managing Lockheed Martin's governance and compliance framework for its global subsidiaries. This position requires close collaboration with the Corporate Secretary's Office to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations across all international operations. The specialist will also support various business initiatives and work in partnership with internal stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all international subsidiaries comply with local laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the governance framework for international entities and formulate compliance strategies.
  • Facilitate the processes for entity formation, dissolution, and registration.
  • Engage with third-party vendors to achieve compliance objectives efficiently.
  • Prepare and manage corporate documentation under the guidance of legal counsel.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on governance and compliance issues.
  • Assist with accounting, tax, and treasury functions in international markets.
  • Effectively manage workload, prioritize tasks, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Implement improvements to processes to boost service delivery and compliance.
  • Provide timely assistance to internal clients and support training initiatives for stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with various internal teams involved in subsidiary governance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in governance and compliance for entities.
  • Strong skills in project management.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and professionalism.
  • Expertise in vendor management.
  • Demonstrated capability to drive process enhancements and automation.

Note: This role may require occasional onsite presence in Bethesda, MD, for a portion of working hours. Travel expenses will not be covered.
