Pool Safety Specialist

The YMCA of Central KY is seeking a skilled Lifeguard to join our team at the High Street branch. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our members and guests in the pool area. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact in the community while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and enjoyable experience for members and guests in the pool area.
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance.
- Respond to emergencies and provide rescue assistance as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe pool environment, including deck areas and locker rooms.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Current and valid Lifeguard Certification, First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
- Excellent swimming skills and a varied aquatic background.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including morning shifts.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
