About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Executive Director of Operations to lead our Construction, Purchasing, and Warranty teams at Century Communities. This is a critical role that requires a strong leader who can drive disciplined cost controls, predictable and repeatable cycle times, quality home production, and exceptional customer experience throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construction:
    • Provide high-quality, on-time delivery of Century homes, balancing financial objectives with operational efficiency.
    • Lead and manage construction field personnel, ensuring quality work and adherence to company standards.
    • Evaluate and manage building schedules to meet divisional goals and objectives.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve construction processes and reduce costs.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including EPA and OSHA standards.
  • Purchasing:
    • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to reduce direct labor and materials costs.
    • Manage relationships with outside trade partners and vendors to ensure quality, pricing, and service.
    • Provide strategic direction on material selection and best building practices.
  • Customer Care:
    • Oversee and manage staff responsible for New Home Warranty and Service.
    • Establish and monitor customer care policies, processes, and procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Supervisory Responsibility:
    • Plan, direct, and appraise the performance of construction personnel.
    • Recommend promotions, transfers, salary adjustments, and terminations to the Division President.
  • Safety:
    • Work with corporate teams to maintain a general safety program and conduct regular inspections.
    • Report any unsafe practices to management.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in single and multi-family construction management.
  • Previous experience managing internal and field personnel.
