Position Overview:

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time faculty role in the Division of Nuclear Medicine within the Department of Diagnostic Radiology. This position is available at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level, specifically in the clinical educator track.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Engage in active clinical practice across both outpatient and inpatient environments.
  • Contribute to the education and advancement of medical students, residents, and fellows in Nuclear Medicine diagnostic radiology.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in various Nuclear Medicine studies, including but not limited to bone scans, thyroid imaging, and nuclear cardiology.
  • Utilize advanced imaging technologies such as hybrid SPECT/CT and PET/CT.
  • Participate in radiopharmaceutical therapy and theranostics, focusing on treatments for conditions like thyroid cancer and lymphoma.
  • Oversee the performance of technical staff and participate in on-call duties.
  • Implement quality assurance measures related to Nuclear Medicine practices.
  • Provide consultations in Nuclear Medicine as needed.
  • Engage in teaching activities across multiple educational programs, including residency and fellowship programs.
  • Contribute to clinical research initiatives and serve on departmental committees as required.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree with completed residency in Diagnostic Radiology and fellowship in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Board certification or eligibility in both Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.
  • Possession of or eligibility for a Florida Medical License.
  • Experience in a university faculty setting is preferred but not mandatory.
