Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain robust Control Plans for Production Quality Control, incorporating lessons learned from continuous improvement initiatives.
• Establish, modify, and uphold quality standards for processing materials, purchased materials, manufactured goods, and finished products.


• Design and implement inspection, testing, and evaluation methods for product precision and accuracy.

• Oversee calibration of measuring and testing equipment, maintaining comprehensive records.

• Review Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMRs) for accuracy, verify rejection reasons, and update the NCMR database.


• Assist in the development and execution of the Supplier Quality Assurance program, including data input, assessment capabilities, chart and form establishment, data maintenance, and new system development.

• Conduct audits of products and production processes to support documented business quality objectives.

• Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) according to specifications and update the FAI database.

• Conduct incoming inspections and outgoing dock audits, maintaining detailed inspection records.

• Analyze supplier returns, coordinating disposition and providing feedback to management.

• Execute complex quality audits and establish quality standards for outsourced products and materials.

• Develop and guide methods for testing, sampling, and training.

• Report on complex quality analyses and defective products, recommending necessary quality procedure adjustments.

• Ensure compliance throughout all quality testing and validation phases.

• Facilitate supplier quality audits and regulatory inspections, leading laboratory studies, research, testing, and operational activities.

• Collaborate closely with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure final products meet organizational quality standards.

• Provide technical leadership and assist in training less experienced engineers and inspectors.

• Maintain continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.

• Address customer complaints and serve as the primary contact with suppliers.

• Review control of nonconformance material disposition and inspection of reworked products.

• Accurately forecast costs through tracking and reporting.

• Measure prototype, pre-production, and serial parts during product launches.

• Oversee all serial Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation at suppliers.

• Facilitate and lead problem-solving activities using the 8D Process, DMAIC Principles, and 5-Why Problem Solving.

• Interpret Statistical Process Control (SPC) data to make informed judgments on part quality, demonstrating a clear understanding of Cpk and Ppk metrics.

• Assist manufacturing engineers with Risk Priority Number (RPN) reduction by creating and enhancing PFMEAs and Control Plans based on lessons learned.

• Promote and adhere to good Safety Practices aligned with ITW objectives.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience required.

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience in a Quality Engineer role.

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Familiarity with TS/IATF 16949 standards.

• Experience in the automotive manufacturing sector.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques.

• Ability to read technical drawings; GD&T experience is essential.

• Capable of working effectively in both team and individual settings.

• Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail.

• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

• Flexibility to work shifts, including overtime and weekends; hybrid onsite schedule approved.
