Job Summary

The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Project Execution: Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents. Coordinate project team members and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Team Management: Manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Resource Allocation: Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Communication: Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks. Conduct project post-mortems and create recommendations reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Quality Control: Ensure project deliverables meet the quality standards set by the organization. Monitor and track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. PMP certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience: 3+ years of direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
  • Skills:
    • Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Asana.
    • Solid understanding of software development life cycles, agile methodologies, and IT infrastructure.
    • Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
