Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Specialist II to join our team at Olympus Corporation of the Americas. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for assembling high-quality medical devices in accordance with established procedures and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble components into medical devices in a clean room environment, utilizing small hand tools, calibrated instruments, and microscopes.
  • Perform in-process quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished products to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to resolve process issues and suggest improvements to manufacturing procedures.
  • Train less experienced assemblers on a wide range of tasks and assist with their development.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records/documentation related to quality, work in progress, test results, and labor.
  • Adhere to general safety rules, manufacturing procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience in the assembly of small format medical devices or equivalent experience in a regulated environment.
  • Ability to work overtime, including evenings and weekends on occasion.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in operating and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Familiarity with basic computer programs and ability to electronically enter and format data.
  • Basic math skills and ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
