Key Responsibilities:
Trane Technologies is seeking a Materials Management Supervisor.
The Materials Management Supervisor will oversee inventory storage strategies, line-side material delivery, and all inventory-related initiatives within a specific manufacturing facility.
This role is essential for promoting lean practices and continuous improvement within the plant. Key performance indicators for this position include inventory accuracy, on-time kitting fill rate, and timely material put-away.
As the primary point of responsibility for inventory management and strategy for an offsite warehouse, you will ensure the optimization of materials management activities, including inventory planning and storage strategies.
You will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and ensuring compliance with the cycle count and physical inventory standard work processes to facilitate best-in-class inventory management.
Additionally, you will develop and implement countermeasures for underperforming processes and manage materials and inventory in alignment with Lean Six-Sigma manufacturing principles.
Ensure inventory alignment with the published SIOP consensus plan.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in integrated materials management functions.
- A minimum of 1 year of managerial or leadership experience focused on resource planning and talent development.
- Experience in rate-based or flow line (non-MRP) and job shop manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with inventory management, MRP, visual management systems, scheduling, and lean manufacturing processes.
This role has been designated as Safety Sensitive.
