Vision Technologies is in search of a Senior Microsoft Systems Engineer to enhance our technical team. This is a full-time, permanent position focused on optimizing and securing our IT infrastructure. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the IT Director to develop strategies for transitioning our systems to cloud-based solutions.

We are seeking a knowledgeable professional who can introduce cutting-edge technologies to modernize and fortify our systems, encompassing everything from network hardware to cloud-hosted applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the network infrastructure, including hardware, software, and cloud solutions.
  • Implement Office/Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Establish Azure Active Directory environments.
  • Deploy advanced Microsoft 365 services, including Enterprise and Mobility.
  • Design Office/Microsoft 365 service architectures.
  • Manage on-premise and Azure Active Directory environments, including Group Policies.
  • Enhance infrastructure within client environments.
  • Administer SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams environments.
  • Develop and maintain a robust backup strategy utilizing VEEAM.
  • Configure and manage firewall policies.
  • Oversee internal SAN and NAS environments.
  • Manage network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and access points.
  • Assist in the deployment and maintenance of various client applications and environments.
  • Lead initiatives for researching and implementing new applications.
  • Manage IT projects for clients.
  • Coordinate with various IT staff and operations.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership as a senior team member.
  • Support the management of support services and related deliverables.
  • Collaborate with end-users and vendors to ensure application and environment support.
  • Engage with client stakeholders on strategic vision and initiatives.
  • Participate in regular client meetings and engage with executive management.
  • Support client initiatives both remotely and on-site.
  • Conduct routine network maintenance across various Microsoft environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of IT support experience.
  • At least 1 year of advanced Microsoft 365 experience.
  • Proven experience in support management roles.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Active Directory.
  • Experience with MS Azure, Defender, Microsoft 365, Entra, and Intune.
  • Microsoft cloud certifications are advantageous.
  • Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced support role.
  • Strong reputation for providing excellent support to end-users and leading teams.
  • Exceptional decision-making and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and assignments.
  • Willingness to learn and support new technologies while training others.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Certifications may be considered in lieu of a college degree.
