Position Title:
Power Settlement Specialist

Reports To:
Manager of Energy Settlements & Reporting

FLSA Status:
Exempt

Core Responsibilities:
Analyze and manage energy supply, transmission, and associated power costs for AMP Members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes energy invoicing systems; evaluates billed power expenses; investigates and resolves discrepancies in account balances.
  • Accountable for monitoring and confirming rate determinants that are essential for generating monthly power invoices to AMP Members.
  • Engages in the monthly reconciliation and settlement of energy transactions.
  • Facilitates the coordination of energy billing and settlement processes with suppliers, joint ventures, and counterparties.
  • Contributes to the creation and upkeep of spreadsheets and databases.
  • Maintains energy settlement protocols as dictated by contracts, agreements, and prevailing industry standards.
  • Provides analytical support across the organization through financial modeling and ad hoc reporting.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred; an Associate's degree in finance, accounting, mathematics, engineering, or a related discipline is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is essential.
  • Ability to analyze intricate numerical data is necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment with minimal oversight.
