Job Summary

National Power is seeking a highly skilled Generator Service Technician to join our team in Columbus, OH. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of generator sets and other electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on generators and parallel systems, including troubleshooting and repair of Automatic Transfer Switches.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance service, including oil and filter changes, and perform warranty work per manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Perform load bank testing on generator(s) to ensure units are in proper operating conditions and meet applicable code requirements.
  • Assist other technicians with large multi-person jobs or troubleshooting complicated issues.
Requirements
  • HS Diploma required; Associate degree in an electrical/mechanical related field preferred.
  • Current Generac Power Systems certification preferred.
  • US Air Force Electrical Power Production Specialist, US Navy Electrician's Mate, or Generator and/or UPS field service technician preferred.
