Key Responsibilities:

  • Skillfully assemble and install a variety of commercial refrigeration systems.
  • Deliver, set up, and install ice-making machines.
  • Connect refrigeration units to electrical systems, ensuring proper wiring and grounding.
  • Install additional components, such as refrigeration line sets, as required.
  • Conduct thorough testing and calibration of new systems to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Maintain effective communication throughout the installation process.
  • Prioritize safety by adhering to industry protocols and regulations, particularly when handling refrigerants and electrical components.
  • Ensure the safe disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to minimize risks.
  • Mentor and train apprentice technicians, sharing your expertise.
  • Assist in managing inventory to ensure availability of necessary parts and supplies.
  • Engage in continuous training to stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
  • Keep accurate records of installations using service software.

Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months of experience in installing ice machines, condensing units, line sets, and hanging evaporator coils for walk-in coolers/freezers.
  • EPA Certification is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of refrigeration systems and their components.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with technology.
  • Experience with Epass appliance service software is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess personal hand tools.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Skilled in identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
